I went in today at 35 weeks and 3 days to find that while my baby is still high and I'm only like 1 cm dilated, I'm 70% effaced. I never progressed with our first born so this is all new to me. I want this one to stay in as long as possible (DD was taken at 39 weeks and I feel that was too early - she just wasn't fully ready yet).
