The scholarship window for 2023 will be open from 1 July to 31 December.The Air Force ROTC Scholarship Fitness Assessment is a 1 minute timed event for both pushups and sit-ups and a 1.5 mile run. The test is scored out of a possible 80 points. The 1.5 mile run is worth 75% of the test, with pushups and sit-ups both worth 12.5% each. Emphasis is definitely placed on the run!REQUIREMENTS To qualify, an applicant must meet the following requirements: • Be a U.S. citizen • Be an active duty enlisted Air Force member • Meet the current time in service (TIS) requirements • Be nominated by their Wing Commander or equivalent • Have at least a 2.5 cumulative grade pointAfter completing all Air Force ROTC and academic degree requirements, contracted cadets accept a commission appointed by the President of the United States as a second lieutenant in the Air Force. •Most cadets incur a four-year active-duty commitment. •Pilots incur a 10-year active-duty service commitment.Air Force ROTC scholarships cover up to 100% of tuition, laboratory fees, and incidental expenses.
